Thermal Power Plant Ingeniero White (‘CTIW’)
CTIW is located at Ingeniero White, district of Bahía Blanca, in a lot adjacent to CPB (thermal power plant ‘Piedra Buena’). This thermal power plant, which consists of 6 cutting-edge dual-fuel (natural gas or fuel oil) motor generators supplied by Wärtsilä, has a 100 MW installed capacity, which represents 0.3% of Argentine installed capacity.
The power plant is interconnected to the 132 kV grid through a substation owned by Transba (‘Empresa de Transporte de Energía Eléctrica por Distribución Troncal de la Provincia de Buenos Aires’). Liquid fuel is supplied using CPB’s discharge and storage facilities, and natural gas is also supplied from this power plant’s internal facilities.
Engines are high-efficiency, with a 42% performance rate. The power plant was commissioned on December 22, 2017, and in 2018 its generation amounted to 274 GWh.
