Thermal Power Plant Ingeniero White (‘CTIW’)
CTIW is located at Ingeniero White, district of Bahía Blanca, in a lot adjacent to CPB (thermal power plant ‘Piedra Buena’). This power plant has a 100 MW installed power capacity, consisting of 6 cutting-edge dual-fuel engines, which can be fed with natural gas or fuel oil, supplied by Wärtsilä.
The power plant is interconnected to the 132 kV grid through a substation owned by Transba (‘Empresa de Transporte de Energía Eléctrica por Distribución Troncal de la Provincia de Buenos Aires’). Liquid fuel supply is made using CPB’s discharge and storage facilities, and natural gas is also supplied from this power plant’s internal facilities.
Engines are high-efficiency, with a 42% performance rate. The power plant was commissioned on December 22, 2017.
