Edenor

Edenor (‘Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte S.A.’) is the largest electricity distribution company in the country in terms of the number of customers and electricity sold (in GWh and monetary terms). It holds a concession until 2087 to distribute electricity on an exclusivity basis in the northern and northwestern metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, covering 4,637 km2 and approximately 9 million inhabitants.

On December 28, 2020, Pampa agreed on the sale of Edenor’s controlling stake. This divestment is part of our strategic plan, aiming to continue expanding the power generation installed capacity and developing unconventional natural gas reserves. Consequently, for accounting purposes, the distribution segment is disclosed as discontinued operations both in the current period 2020 and in the 2019 comparative period.
